Transparent Cooking from Start to Finish
The walls of this stock pot are formed from borosilicate glass, a material chosen for its ability to handle the temperature differences encountered in daily cooking. Being able to watch stock, soup or mulled drinks through the clear sides gives you a full view of the simmer, the colour of the broth, and the movement of ingredients – all without lifting the lid and releasing steam. The glass is paired with stainless steel accents that reinforce the rim, handles and lid frame.

Borosilicate Qualities
Borosilicate glass is inherently non-porous and does not hold onto flavours, colours or odours from one dish to the next. It also interacts very little with acidic foods, making it a suitable vessel for tomato-based soups, citrus-spiced ciders or wine-based poaching liquids. The glass surface is smooth and resists sticking, so gentle simmering recipes tend to leave minimal residue.

Stainless Steel Accents and Handles
The rim of the pot is capped with a stainless steel band that adds structural rigidity and provides a steady resting point for the matching glass lid. Two stainless steel handles are riveted to the band, giving a firm grip when carrying or pouring. The handles are shaped to stay comfortable in the hand, and their metallic finish provides a visual contrast to the transparency of the glass body.

Lid and Moisture Management
The lid is also made of borosilicate glass and sits within the stainless rim, so the entire cooking vessel becomes a clear environment. A small steam vent allows excess vapour to escape during a rolling boil, reducing the chance of the lid rattling. Because the glass does not discolour, you can always see whether the liquid is at a gentle tremble or a rapid bubble.

Hob Compatibility and Heating Guidance
The flat glass base works on gas, electric coil, ceramic and halogen hobs. It is not directly suitable for induction cooktops unless used with an induction diffuser disc. Borosilicate glass responds predictably to gradual temperature adjustments; it is sensible to bring the pot to heat together with its contents rather than heating it empty. A medium flame or setting is generally ample for maintaining a simmer.

Handling, Cleaning and Storage
The pot can be washed in the dishwasher, though gentle hand washing with a non-abrasive sponge helps preserve the pristine clarity of the glass. Avoid using metal tools inside the pot, as they can scratch the glass surface over time. When storing, placing a soft cloth or padded layer between stacked items protects the glass from accidental chips. Sudden impacts – such as dropping a metal ladle into an empty pot – should be treated with care, as borosilicate glass, while robust, remains a material that benefits from mindful handling.
